C.N. Wood Co. Inc. continued its long-standing support of Connecticut municipalities at the 2026 Connecticut Association of Street & Highway Officials (CASHO) Equipment & Technical Show. The annual event offers municipality and public works professionals an opportunity to discover new equipment, meet manufacturer and distributor representatives, and discuss solutions for their day-to-day operations.

The event is a regular stop for C.N. Wood’s Connecticut team, where customers can compare machines and connect directly with the people who support them. For Craig Schoen, C.N. Wood Territory Sales Manager for Connecticut municipalities, the show is also a chance to strengthen relationships with the towns, cities and agencies that maintain Connecticut’s public infrastructure.

“CASHO has been going on for years, and it’s something we’ve always supported,” said Schoen. “People expect to see C.N. Wood when they come to CASHO. We try to come out in full force, get in front of people, let them climb on the machines and give them some education.”

“C.N. Wood represents a lot of strong equipment lines, and we wanted to showcase some of the machines our municipal partners regularly use.”

C.N. Wood brought a wide range of equipment to the show, including a Vactor 2100i combination sewer cleaner, an Elgin Whirlwind1 vacuum sweeper, a Komatsu WA270 wheel loader, a Komatsu PC55MR excavator, a Trackless vehicle and RapidView IBAK camera inspection technology. From snow removal and street maintenance to sewer inspection and vacuum excavation, C.N. Wood’s equipment lineup showcased the versatility of its machines.

“C.N. Wood represents a lot of strong equipment lines, and we wanted to showcase some of the machines our municipal partners regularly use,” noted Schoen. “Everybody who stopped by our display had a chance to see what new equipment is out there and ask us questions.”

Although rain moved in later in the day, attendance wasn’t dampened.

“We had some great interactions with people throughout the day,” declared Schoen. “C.N. Wood has built a name for itself in Connecticut through our service and support. That’s always been a focus for us, and the turnout and conversations really reflected that.”

One of the highlights of this year’s display was the Trackless vehicle equipped with a snowblower, which drew attention after a snowy winter. Municipalities can use the Trackless vehicle to clear sidewalks, bike lanes and narrow spaces during the winter, then switch out the attachments for sweeping or lawn maintenance depending on the season.

C.N. Wood also showcased its RapidView IBAK deployment box, a compact sewer inspection system designed to offer full camera capabilities without requiring a larger van setup. The system can be placed in the bed of a pickup truck and used by municipalities or contractors that need a more economical or flexible option for pipe inspection.

“The RapidView IBAK deployment box is a complete self-contained unit that will do everything your bigger units will do,” explained Mike Kidd, Support Services Manager, C.N. Wood. “We can do basic recording or PACP reporting on this type of system.”

The deployment box includes a KW 307 reel, 1,000 feet of Kevlar-reinforced cable, a T76 tractor and an Orion camera head. The system gives cities, towns and contractors the ability to become more self-sufficient when inspecting sewer and wastewater systems.

“We also have a full-service facility in North Haven, Connecticut, so anytime you need regular maintenance or have a problem, you don’t have to ship the equipment across the country for repairs,” added Kidd. “Bring it right to us, and we’ll fix it for you and get you back up and running.”

Ready for next year

“We appreciate getting to spend some time with all our partners and vendors at CASHO,” concluded Schoen. “It’s a true partnership, and we’re all in it together. We’ll be at CASHO next year, and we look forward to seeing everyone there.”
